The Barnum and Bailey Circus is in town at the Gwinnett Arena. I would not have gone, but I volunteered to chaperone my daughter’s kindergarten class field trip. I am so glad I did… many of these children were seeing the circus for the very first time. To see the excitement in their eyes when the tigers and lions came out on stage or when the trapeze artists were doing their stunts is priceless. The circus is only in town for a short time. .. don’t miss it!
Helpful Hints: Arrive early! The stage is set up with activities such as a bounce house and interaction with clowns before the show starts! Check out the different seats available. Some of the sections are allowed to come out on the stage during the show and volunteers may be recruited from these seats.
Some of the many memorable aspects of the circus… horse riding, the dog show, the elephants, cotton candy, pretzels, snow cones, brightly colored hats, glow sticks, and popcorn, motorcycle stunts, etc. Prepare to be a kid again… if only for a few hours: Relax and enjoy!
The Gwinnet Arena is a short drive from Ashbury Park. Take 124 (Braselton Highway) South towards Hamilton Mill. Take Hamilton Mill West to I85 South. Travel I85 to the Sugarloaf Exit. Go West on Sugarloaf and follow the signs for circus parking.
